London – An Evening at The Photographers’ Gallery
13th February 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm GMT
Members are invited to an evening at The Photographers’ Gallery to enjoy exclusive access to the exhibition ‘Roman Vishniac Rediscovered’ on Wednesday 13 February from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Presented simultaneously at The Photographers’ Gallery and Jewish Museum London, Roman Vishniac Rediscovered is the first UK retrospective of the Russian born American photographer, who is best known for having created one of the most widely recognised and reproduced photographic records of Jewish life in Eastern Europe between the two World Wars. The event will include a short introduction to some of the amazing works on display by one of the gallery curators.
To compliment this event, members of Art Resolve, a dispute resolution service tailored to the art world, will give a short presentation on the benefits of mediation. This will explain why mediation is so well suited to cases concerning disputes about art and antiquities; and the context provided by the exhibition will assist in illustrating its particular relevance to those claims arising out of the Nazi era. This presentation will begin at 6pm, before the main Reception, within the gallery exhibition space, and there are a limited number of places available.
Members will have received an invitation and should RSVP in the normal way.
