The Art Law Foundation Seminar: 'The Role of Artists' Foundations in the Art Market'

The Art Law Foundation and The Arts Club London present:

'The Role of Artists' Foundations in the Art Market'

21 May 2015

2pm - 5pm

The Arts Club, 40 Dover Street, London

Established to serve a public benefit, artist endowed foundations take on a complex role. These foundations are essentially dedicated to the promotion, conservation, preservation and charitable distribution of an artist’s oeuvre. Some of their activities have a direct bearing on the art market, such as when selling works that they own or offering an opinion on a presented work’s authenticity.

This seminar will gather the directors of artist endowed foundations, art market players, collectors, lawyers and scholars from the United States, England and Switzerland to share their experiences of the best practices and legal challenges facing artists’ foundations today.

This event is kindly supported by FRORIEP law firm.

This event is open to PAIAM members (as well as members of the Art Law Foundation and of the Arts Club London).

Ticket price: £35 per person, to include tea, coffee & biscuits
