Sarah practises corporate and commercial law with a particular sector focus on the arts. Sarah and her team have considerable experience in M&A, private equity, venture capital, funds work, commercial contracts and employment and IP law. They work with galleries, artists, collectors, dealers, art consultants, investors, art funds, auction houses and other businesses in the arts to provide legal advice and support in connection with all aspects of the commercial relationships in this sector.
Sarah’s team is made up of senior lawyers from top tier City firms including Slaughter & May, Linklaters, Clifford Chance, Sidley Austin, Hogan Lovells and Ashurst. Sarah founded Montgomery Barker following a career at leading international law firm Herbert Smith, a stint at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the founding and running of an arts business advisory consultancy.
Sarah lectures at the Sotheby's Institute of Art. She also sits on the Board of a Business Angel's Network for the Arts, and she is a Committee Member of an Arts and Heritage Charity Committee.
